Craziness!!

In our house we are crazy for crazy bands. Or silly for silly bands. Or whatever!!!

I thought that I was being this awesome mom and picking up the cute little bracelets for the boys. I did not know what they were or that every kid in Northwest Arkansas was wearing them! I just thought that they were fun.

There are all kinds of shapes, and not until I had bought a few of them did I realize that they had "cool" shapes. Like Mickey Mouse and Toy Story. Two of our favorite things in the whole world! So we had to go on a treasure hunt to find the "cool" ones. But we found them and the kids, mostly E, love them! They are fun to wear, and when you take them off they help keep you entertained. (just ask L!!)

Class Reunion

Last weekend I had a class reunion. It was so much fun to see everyone and find out what everyone has been up to over the past several years! The first night we met for dinner without any kids so we could visit.
These are some of my best friends from high school, minus Laura who was out of town with her husband.
Natalie, Ashley, Lindsey, Me, and Alicia

We ate dinner with Drew and Emily, Natalie and Evans, and Jonathan and Janean. Drew used to be really big into politics, and then he felt called into the ministry! He is in seminary now. His wife Emily is sooo sweet!

Some other friends.
Jared and Kristen, Nathan, and Jon and Heather

Saturday, we met at the Jolliff's lake house with all of the families. Mr. Jolliff took everyone on boat rides!

The back of the house.

Everyone visiting around the water

Some of the people who came. Both nights we waited to late to get pictures and we missed a few people each time!!

E like swimming in the dirty water!! He did not like it when a boat would go by though. The waves scared him a little bit.

L liked playing with the rocks and sticks.

Cale took each of the kids out on a boat ride.

Trying to stay cool. It was a very hot day to be outside!

There were lots of sweet mommas and babies. They went inside to cool off a little bit.

Lots of sweet families too!

Overall it was a good time! I am happy to wait for the next one though. They are ALOT of work!!

VBS 2010

This has been a long week. Our church had Vacation Bible School this week and we were there every night. The theme this year was Western and this little guy loved every minute of it! He was one of the attractions because he was so cute in his hat and boots, and he also loved saying things like "giddy up horsey" and "yehaw!"

We met up with our friends every night too. The boys loved having somewhere to go every night. It also helped me have an answer to that question that comes every morning..."what are we doing today/tonight?" These two little guys were trouble with a capital T!! Don't be fooled by those innocent faces!!

Our church has some wonderful people that work in the kitchen almost year round. They cook food for all of the workers so that we dont have to cook for our families before we come to Bible School! We love these people! In fact, most VBS workers tried to sit down and visit with these "youngsters" while they were on break. I think the cooks had the most fun this week! They are some of the funniest people!!

The preschool classes have their own area and it was decorated like a rodeo. Ms. Sheril is in charge of the preschool and she was our rodeo clown!!

Our church usually goes all out for decorating as you can see. This is L's room.

This is the room that E was in.

This was the room that the kids went to for missions. It was a cave and L loved it!!!

I taught the music for preschool this year. This is my helper, A. We had a lot of fun this week.

This was just trouble from the get go! These were the guys that helped with E's class. They took the kids around to all of the different stations.

I could not have asked for a better teacher that Ms. Caroline. She taught L and he had a great week! She is very firm and by the book, but very loving too!

My precious boy before VBS started.

The preschool played games before VBS started. This is L playing horseshoes.

And sack races.

E during gametime.

This is during music.

This is the big kid music time. E loved it!

In fact, E loves VBS. They do tons of hands on activities, and that is perfect for him!
It was a great week, but we are all exhausted! I am glad that it is over!

4th of July

We had a wonderful night celebrating the fourth. We were late meeting the family, as usual. So we missed getting pictures of all of the groups. But we did manage to get family pictures. It was an event!! This was the best of five pictures.

Then we took a few pics with grandma.

I found this spot out by the fence and thought that it would be perfect for pictures of the boys. I may actually have to print this picture of L and have it framed. It is so unusual to get a picture of him when he is not making a funny face. He is our comedian.

E really didnt want his picture taken. We had to say some really silly things to get a happy face out of him!

Here are the boys again. My sweetie pies!!

We went inside and there was WAY to much food! And of course multiple desserts. The highlight of the desserts was Amy's flag cake. She has been learning how to decorate cakes lately and made a special one for the Fourth. Good job Amy!!

When the sun went down we went outside and started letting the kids to their fireworks. They love it!

I also had to get my annual shot of Hope and Jerry. This one is a little bit better than last time, dont you think Hope???

E doing some sparklers!!

Daddy helping L with a sparkler.

These two were hilarious all night! They were running around like little banchees! And they would cover their ears when the fireworks got loud!

The men watching the fireworks.

Amy with Grandma and Grandmother

Brother and Sister. It is amazing to think that these two hated each other not that long ago!

My sweetheart!

E and Grandma. He sat on her lap most of the night.

E sitting in Grandma's chair that she had when she was a little girl. I think we have pictures of all of the kids sitting in this chair at some point!

We had a great time with our family celebrating the Fourth.
